Forum: GratefulDead Subject: A sample of where Donna's screams actually work- 7-5-78

http://www.archive.org/download/gd79-05-08.glassberg.vernon.18876.sbeok.shnf/gd79-05-08d2t02_vbr.mp3

This Supplication, in a show I never heard mentioned as it is followed by the famous red rocks shows of 78, is blistering and done very well- and Donna adds some punch in the last minute with well placed screeches that actually sound like they belong-

I know you'all missed my recommendations- been busy getting a new position in San Diego where I will be moving- I have been offered the first Vice-Presidency I have ever had!

liam, lazarus, tom... so now, you'll do your preaching on the burning shore, knocking on the golden door, like an angel, standing in a shaft of light, rising up to paradise, i know you're gonna shine.

Am I the only person who realizes that Liam cited a 79 mp3 while talking about a 78 show?

pshhhh donna rocks the house and yall know it.

just listen to 8/27/72 to the GSET, or the closing of winterland DVD in the scarlet>fire transition.. She especially adds to the more country-er songs :]

Assuming this thread has become a totally vague general Donna thread, I really think her scarlet>fire stuff on 5-25-77 is beautiful.

Congrats. I believe you may be the first aspiring Spiro Agnew among us. The Western White House will never be the same.
